Twenty years after Israel uprooted Jewish communities from Gaza and Northern Samaria, history is taking a dramatic turn.

In a landmark agreement signed in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli government and the Samaria Regional Council have launched an 8.5 billion shekel plan to build 12,000 new housing units, along with commercial, industrial, and tourism infrastructure. The broader vision includes 18 new Jewish communities in Northern Samaria—including the rebuilding of the four communities destroyed during the 2005 Disengagement.

At our recent Pulse of Israel Conference, we honored Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan with the Brave Leadership of Zion Award. Expelled from his home in Sanur during the Disengagement, Yossi transformed personal tragedy into a lifelong mission of rebuilding the Jewish heartland. Just last week, our Pulse of Israel Mission visited Sanur and Chomesh, witnessing firsthand this historic return.
