Rep. Andy Ogles, who represents Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District, recently visited Israel with our Yes! Israel project run by Ruth Lieberman and Sarah Paley.

 

Rep. Ogles has been an outspoken supporter of Israel, particularly since the October 7, 2023 massacre, even receiving death threats after stating plainly that Hamas must be obliterated. In one of his interviews in Israel he made an important strategic point: as Israel becomes less dependent on U.S. financial aid, it strengthens its sovereignty. Ogles said, “in a time of crisis, Israel can’t be held hostage to that aid,” referencing what many in Israel felt under the Biden administration.
