For years the IDF and security leadership scared the Israeli public from any military offensive in Gaza, saying that it would be too dangerous. The horrific oct. 7th massacre pushed the IDF to finally return to the Gaza strip. Today, the IDF has basically conquered all of the Gaza strip.
A ceasefire deal with Hamas, necessitating a total IDF pullout from Gaza according to the published conditions, would return Hamas to be a growing danger to Israel from Gaza. This capitulation would give over the message that all the holy fallen IDF soldiers lost their lives for no reason fighting in Gaza.
Wait until you understand why so many Israeli security “experts” are pushing for a ceasefire.
