Today we are in for a very special treat! As we in Israel prepare to celebrate Jerusalem day tonight and tomorrow, enjoy this special episode with memories of a divided Jerusalem from before 1967.

As our enemies are rioting once again in Jerusalem, generating condemnations from Western politicians, including US politicians, against Israel, it is perfect timing to remind people about the truth of Jerusalem.

Jerusalem has always been the eternal and undivided capital of the Jewish people since the time of King David. It was only divided temporarily for 19 years because of the illegal occupation of Jordan between 1948-1967 when they expelled all the Jews, destroyed all the Jewish communities and moved in Arabs to live in those previously Jewish areas of Jerusalem instead. Whenever you hear the headlines today about Arabs being evicted from the Sheikh Jarrah/Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood, or the Silwan/Yemenite Village neighborhood, those were both Jewish neighborhoods pre-1948 then taken over by the Jordanians.
