Unfortunately, Israel’s legal establishment does everything in its power to protect the rights of terrorists, even Israeli Arab terrorists. Time after time, when the government or IDF tries to enforce rules to punish and deter terrorists, the legal establishment trumps the terrorist’s civil rights over the right of Israeli’s rights to live. 

 

One of the strongest legal tools the Government of Israel decided to use to punish Israeli Arab terrorists was to take away their Israeli citizenship and all social benefits they continue to receive as citizens, even as they sit in jail. Yet, the legal establishment deemed that wrong and fordid the government from enforcing that law. 

 

I had the opportunity to speak with Maurice Hirsch, the Head of the legal desk at Palestinian Media Watch, as he explains the new laws being proposed that will hopefully overcome the obstacles of the legal establishment to right this huge wrong that places the rights of the terrorists over the rights of innocent Israelis.
