Every Saturday night the Israeli left hits the streets to protest against Prime Minister Netanyahu. They say that they want to protect Israeli democracy from Netanyahu who is destroying it. But when you tell them that the Israeli population voted for Netanyahu three times in three different elections in one year, and that IS how democracy works, they shut you down. Quite ironic that it’s only a democracy if their man wins and they beat the conservative-right. If Netanyahu or the right wins then it is not democratic. That might sound familiar with the rhetoric in the United States right now regarding the upcoming US elections. Trump calling out the potential problem of mail-in ballots is undemocratic, but Hillary Clinton and the US Democratic machine calling upon Joe Biden to not concede the election on election night is totally fine.
