For the Jewish people, the new year is not about celebration, but about introspection, reflection, repentance and appreciating life. It is about understanding that we are not in charge of our lives, rather we owe our lives to the one above.
As we enter the Jewish New Year holiday of Rosh Hashana we wanted to share this story of life and survival from one of our generation’s greatest tragedies.
